NEJNERU, D. ACHIŢEI, V. Manole, R. HANU CIMPOEŞU Abstract Energy dissipation manifest by mechanical energy transformation, apply to a material, to thermal energy and as examples, with big values are polymers materials and for reduce values the metallic materials. The energy dissipation capacity of metallic materials was observe at shape memory alloys with nice values of them internal friction (IF) comparing with other metallic materials like steel, iron cast, pure copper, pure aluminum. These big values of IF make from these alloys good materials for practical applications having the advantages of metallic materials properties also. In this paper a shape memory alloy was investigate, with respect for amortization capacity, chemical composition was determinate with a laboratory spectrometer, using a differential dilatometer we test the memory effect of material and for internal friction determination was used a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA). Alloy microstructure is investigated, in this study, with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The obtain results present internal friction and sheer modulus function of temperature at 1Hz test frequency. |
